The third annual “Wine for a Cause” wine tasting event is being held to benefit the Steuben County Humane Society. 4 Kings Marketing is a major sponsor along with its client Gays Hops-n-Schnapps.
The wine tasting will be held at Glendarin golf course clubhouse on Friday, November 12 from 6:00-9:00 pm. Funds from this event will help cover costs at the shelter. Tickets are $50 each and can be purchased at Gays Hops-n-Schnapps’ Angola or Fremont locations.
In addition to the sampling of over 50 fine wines, Caruso’s will be serving hors d’oeuvres and area musician Mark Kays will feature Celtic music.
“We consider this event one of our major annual fundraisers,” said Jessica Pineiro, director of the Steuben County Humane Society. “Monies received are used to house, feed and care for the hundreds of animals we assist each year.
“We've seen a lot of animals coming in just because of the economy. Families are bringing in pets because they are having trouble putting food on the table, while others are working longer hours or are moving into apartments that do not allow pets,” she added.
The Steuben County Humane Society connects animals in need with people who care by providing a number of services, including adoptions, low-cost spay and neuters, lost/found, and humane education programs.
